New Mexican Charm in a quiet convenient location.

We spent a week during Ballon Fiesta. The casita is very inviting. We were surprised with how quiet the neighborhood was. Mornings on the North patio sipping coffee and watching the balloons in the air were a highlight! The beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows and comforters were supplied. Shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water for us. Very convenient to all the local sights and quick to highways. Michael is a great host! He gave us great recommendations for a few great breweries and restaurants. 100% would book again!. [Ref. VRBO Listing 639261]

Highly Recommend

This was our first experience with a single family home and we hit the jackpot. Initially, Michael set the mood by making us feel it was our home and his very personable welcoming personality just made the entire experience great. As for the home, gardens and landscaping we loved it. Home is very cozy yet the main living area was large enough to facilitate a family gathering for my 99 year old Mother-in-law. The neighborhood is very safe with beautiful million dollar estates just around the corner. This property is compropable to others at twice the price. Highly recommend. Gorgeous Casita in a Fabulous City

My husband, daughters, and I had a fabulous time at Casa La Huerta. Michael was an incredibly gracious host and showed us all the ins and outs of the property when we arrived. The house was beyond charming and comfortable, was in an excellent location in Old Town (a must see!) and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time in the outdoor living area which was landscaped impeccably, private and huge, and a true oasis! I told my husband that I wanted to buy a property just like this one, so we could vacation in beautiful Albuquerque all the time. To boot, the rent was very reasonable! Until we are lucky enough to get our own place, this is where we will always stay. Thank you, Michael! [VRBO Listing 639261]

Loved it!

We had a great stay here at Casa la huerta. The place was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed to make meals. Michael was very intent on us have an enjoyable time and made sure we were all set. The location is very close to so many things to do. We were able to check out the petroglyphs, the tramway, old town (more than once) and Sante Fe. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely try to stay here. Oh and I can't forget about the fruit trees. What a treat! [Source: VRBO Listing 639261]

Sweet house, lovely setting, good location

We've rented Casa La Huerta three times and just love it. The house is the perfect size, compact, with everything one needs. We especially like the patio which becomes an additional room where we eat our meals, work and just hang out. [VRBO Listing 639261]

Southwest Escape

The Casa La Huerta is an adobe home near old town in Albuquerque. Although it is in the city, its décor, garden and quiet privacy make one feel like they are in the country. The landscaping is amazing, meandering trails through native vegetation, much of which was in bloom during our visit. Inside the house it is clean and decorated in a south west theme that one feels would fit in a designer home in Santa Fe or Taos. Provided are high quality pots, pans, utensils etc. that encourage cooking at home although there are numerous excellent restaurants in the area should that be your choice. Air conditioning is provided by a quiet and efficient evaporative system that kept the house cool, even in the 90 plus temperatures we experienced during our 5 day stay. In short, if you are looking for a unique and special place while visiting the Southwest the Casa La Huerta may be what you are looking for. My wife felt that the name should be "Casa de Contenta" as she would have been content to never leaving the property during the entire five days of our visit. [Source: TripAdvisor Listing 6547479]
